Pre-Owned Italia Mondial 4-String Bass Black

We just took in a rather unique bass, this Italia Mondial 4-string.  Created as a perfect complement to the Mondial guitars, the bass version produces deep bass tones from the massive single-pole constructed humbucking neck pickup and you can blend in the bridge piezo to create unparalleled unique tonal textures, or use the piezo on its own for the true acoustic bass sound. The range of tonal options make the Mondial one the most versatile bass instruments on the scene.

Italia designed the Mondial around the fiberglass-topped guitars of the 50s and 60s, so it's a chambered body with a retro look and rubber-bound edges. It has a solid maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard and 22 frets, and active bass and treble controls with independent volume let you balance the electric and piezo sides.  This bass has two ways to sound. The big single-pole humbucker at the neck gives you deep, round low end, and the piezo under the bridge adds an acoustic-style top end you can blend in or use on its own. If you want a bass that doesn't sound like every P or J out there, or pretty much any other bass, this is a fun one.

One thing to know: the active electronics and piezo need a battery to run, be sure to be charged up with a fresh one before you hit the stage!

This Italia Mondial bass is in good condition - it has player wear, and two replaced tuners.  Also, when we got it, the battery compartment cover was missing so we custom made one to fit.

Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready to go.  At this price, it's a great score.
