The Rambler was one of my earliest signature designs, and today it is still one of our most popular models. Why? It's no accident that the Rambler succeeds in delivering classic American 'deluxe' tone with dramatically expanded clean headroom, solid bass response and the option of 26 watt pentode or 13 watt triode operation. The Rambler simply reflects my desire to improve and refine the original concept of an appropriately powered 1x12 club amp with reverb and tremolo.

Owners of the Rambler amp report it produces a warm, full and round sound with a high clean-tone ceiling. This feature makes it an ideal companion to any overdrive pedal. The Rambler is a go-to amp for many music venues, conceived to satisfy the diverse needs of all players and musical styles.

Imagine the essential mid ‘60s-era tube amp that you could take anywhere but has been expertly improved to offer the best of the best in tone and features. The Carr Rambler 28 Watt 1x12 6L6 Tube Combo Amp Black Tolex weighs only 40 lbs for the 1x12" combo and is outfitted with two Class-A cathode-biased 5881 (6L6GC type) power tubes, tube-driven tremolo and spring reverb, and an added Mid control. Not to mention its hand-wired design and Carr's well-known construction. This is the ultimate amp to turn heads in the club.

The Rambler delivers a rich, warm sound that is distinctly full, round, and clear. Its clean threshold is unexpectedly high, making it an ideal foundation for producing shimmering chimes, twang, jangles, and jazz. Additionally, it is an excellent pedal platform and pairs well with an extensive range of boost, overdrive, fuzz, and distortion pedals.

This combo amp is equipped with an internally-crafted, dovetail-jointed North Carolina yellow pine cabinet and a floating speaker baffle for excellent resonance and sound.
