{"product_id":"fender-custom-shop-1958-telecaster-flametop-closet-classic-chocolate-3-tone-sunburst-with-case","title":"Fender Custom Shop 1958 Telecaster Custom Flametop Closet Classic Chocolate 3-Tone Sunburst With Case","description":"\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eExclusive Flame Top 1958 Telecaster Custom \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eWe at Truetone Music are always looking to come up with something you haven't seen before, especially when in partnership with Fender.  For this take on a classic 50's era Tele, we went a step further - going to the Custom Shop in Corona, CA to hand select the wood for a exclusive run of guitars.  We were taken into the vault, to go through their finest collection of wood spreads.  From that, we chose different spreads, for an exclusive run of Tele Customs.  Here is one of them, which came out wonderfully.  \u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eThis guitar is a custom creation, not meant to be \"period correct\" - it's more of a \"vintage inspired\" build.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe guitar has a gorgeous AAA Flame Maple top - that's the main calling card of this guitar.  You don't see a lot of Tele's out there with flametops, and definitely very few like this one.   The roasted alder body is rich and full, with a warm tone that complements the sound of the pickups found in this guitar.  Of course, your eyes will gravitate to the AAA Flame Maple top, which was hand-selected by us on a visit to the Custom Shop in Corona.  To retain a classic touch, we went with a Chocolate 3-Tone Sunburst lacquer finish.  This allows the wood grain really show, and the result is stunning, especially with parchment binding to frame the body perfectly.  We went with a Closet Classic treatment - so while there are no dings, marks or other wear, the finish is aged with a high level of checking.  Be sure to zoom in on the photos.  The way it came out is amazing - the Custom Shop nailed it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 59 Large \"C\" neck shape has a real vintage feel and is quite comfortable.  It's not too fat, but it's definitely not skinny.  This guitar has the modern preference of a 9.5\" radius and 6105 frets, making it easy to play.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor the pickups, we went for a classic combination.  This Telecaster is equipped with a Custom Shop '\u003cspan style=\"font-size: 0.875rem;\"\u003e51 Nocaster bridge pickup, known for its throaty midrange and bite, and a Custom Shop Twisted Tele neck pickup, known for its crystalline clarity. Together, these pickups offer astonishing versatility and deliver the classic Tele tone with a touch of Strat-like sparkle.  The tone that comes out of this guitar is simply incredible.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOther features include an early 50's style bridge with brass saddles, vintage tuners, and a 3-ply parchment pickguard.  It comes with a special white case with a blue interior - it's sophisticated look, fitting for this guitar.
