The middle and neck pickups are uniquely calibrated from string to string for enhanced solo work, while the flat-pole bridge pickup delivers a powerful toneful punch. Each pickup is individually hand wound and potted with secret “Custom Shop sauce” to curb microphonics while preserving an open yet focused tone.

By moving the selector switch, players can unlock throaty Ancho Poblano tone while taking their output from warm (in the neck position) to scorching hot (in the bridge position).

Unlike the neck and middle pickups, which feature custom staggered alnico 3 pole pieces, the bridge pickup also sports flush-mount alnico 5 pole pieces for plenty of quack in the second position.

Normally only seen in Opaque White Blonde, this one is in Black - something you probably haven't seen on an Ancho Poblano Strat yet. The lightweight alder body is treated with a shattered Journeyman Relic® finish to duplicate years of playing with a few friendly soul gashes and battle scars. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish delivers a natural feel while letting this firecracker instrument breathe and resonate freely. And, it will be comfortable to keep strapped on for hours - this guitar only weighs 7.3 lbs.

Another big (literally) part of what makes this guitar special is the neck. A quartersawn 1951 “U”-shape neck serves up a chunky “baseball bat” feel desired by vintage lovers and discerning players alike. This neck shape is rarely seen on Strats (usually just Teles). While not for everyone, it is perfect for the Strat player that wants a big neck with a lot to grip. And even with a big, bold personality all its own, the Ancho Poblano Strat oozes Fender purity of design in every way.

Other features include a 9.5"-radius maple fingerboard with bone nut and 21 super jumbo frets, American Vintage synchronized tremolo bridge and much more.

Come to Club Fender @ Truetone Music to experience this unbelievable Strat, or order right here right now to get it sent straight to your home.

Serial # CZ553808

Weight: 7.3 lbs

Part # 9231012943

Finish Package: Shattered Journeyman Relic

Finish: Nitro Lacquer

Color: Black

Pickguard: 1-ply White (beveled edges)

Body: Alder

Sort for Lightweight

Neck: Quartersawn Maple

Finish: Lacquer

Tint: Medium

Dots: Micarta Black;
