Beloved by both guitarists and bassists, the Bass VI earned its place in the mix, appearing on a surprisingly large and diverse array of recordings over the ensuing decades.  If you've played a Fender Bass VI before, you know how versatile and useful it can be, especially in the studio.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWith a gently aged Journeyman Relic lacquer finish on its lightweight two-piece alder body, this beautifully crafted 60's style Bass VI  radiates an impressively stylish aura.  The ’60s-style oval \"C” neck profile is very comfortable to play, even for guitarists that aren't used to such an instrument, topped with 7.25”-radius dark rosewood fingerboard and vintage frets.  It's as rock solid quartersawn maple neck, so this is as stable and strong as it comes.  Three shielded single-coil Jaguar pickups, plus the vintage Bass VI wiring with On\/Off pickup switches and bass cut, give you the classic sound of a Bass VI with plenty of tonal options.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe chose to do this one in a very interesting color: Aqua Marine Metallic.  It's like you've never seen a Custom Shop instrument in this color, as it's a rare one, and definitely not a Bass VI.  That's because this is the only Custom Shop Bass VI in this color to ever exist.  When it landed here, we were thrilled, as it came out exactly as we intended.  The \"blueness\" is tamed down a bit by the Journeyman Relic treatment, and the tortoise shell pickguard works perfectly as a contrast.  This is one of the more stunning looks of anything we've received from the Custom Shop.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe vintage-style bridge and tuning machines, bone nut, and “wing” string tree complete the instrument.  Includes deluxe hardshell case with a blue plush interior (rarely seen), strap and certificate of authenticity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Custom Shop Bass VI has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.
