And This is the Only One

We are pleased to announce the Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster, in a special finish called Burnt Copper. We chose to do this one as a Super Heavy Relic, which is fitting for the color. While there are other Custom Shop '54 Strats to choose from, this is the only one like this.

Fender only offers a 1954 Stratocaster every ten years, as it can only be ordered in the year of its anniversary. This makes them highly desirable - and after this year (2024), none will be available again until 2034. For the guitarist who craves pure vintage Fender style, the Custom Shop Limited Edition 70th Anniversary model presents original-era model year takes built with meticulous attention to accurate detail that bring Fender history and heritage to authentic and exciting new life. We are doing some in the traditional sunburst, just like it was done in 1954 - but also chose to do some in a variety of unique colors. So while Fender didn't do a Burnt Copper finish in 1954, the imagination can run wild with this one.

The 2-piece Select Ash body is done "correctly" with an offset seam (treble side), as seen on original '54 Strats. It's finished in nitrocellulose lacquer. The Custom Shop took the Super Heavy Relic designation nation and really gave this one a nice thrashing. It has an extreme level of wear, in all of the right places. It's not just about the looks though - it's also about the feel. Grip the neck once and you'll know what it's all about. The 1-piece Quartersawn Maple neck has a special 70th Anniversary '54 Strat profile, giving it an authentic feel. For a bit of a modern touch, this guitar has a 9.5" radius and Narrow Tall frets, but still retains the vintage appeal. This one has the vibe of a guitar that's definitely been put to use in the years since 1954.

Custom Shop Hand-Wound '54 Strat Pickups give you the real tone of the original Strat. Painstakingly designed to recreate the sound, these pickups are the real deal. Vintage '54 Strat Wiring with a wax paper cap and a 5-way switch complete the under the hood engine that really makes this Strat go.

That guitar has the period correct single-ply white pickguard and backplate, with the latter being engraved with the serial numbers (just as it was done in 1954). It also has the '54 Strat ABS white pickups covers and knobs - that's an important touch that Fender is sure to get correct on anniversary models such as this. Even the curves on the headstock are different on a 1954 Strat, and they nailed it. Other features include period correct tuners and bridge, as well the special 70th Anniversary neck plate.

This Limited Edition model comes with an embroidered case, special case candy, and a Certificate of Authenticity.

Any Fender Custom Shop guitar is something special, but this 70th Anniversary 1954 Stratocaster is beyond that. It's part of history. These will be hard to get, and we suggest you jumping on it now before it's gone! And remember, there's only one like this one.

70th Anniversary Stratocaster Base Model Specifications:

Part # 9231015785

Serial # XN2570

Weight: 7.10 lbs

Lacquer Finish

Super Heavy Relic

Color: Burnt Copper

2-Piece Select Ash Body with Offset Seam (Treble Side)

1-Piece Quartersawn Maple Neck with 70th Anniversary '54 Strat Back-Shape

9.5" Radius

21 Narrow Tall (6105) Frets

New Custom Shop Hand-Wound '54 Strat Pickups

Vintage '54 Strat Wiring with Wax Paper Cap

5-Way Switch; Single-Ply White (.070 PVA) Pickguard & Back Plate (SN on Backplate)

'54 Strat ABS White Pickup Covers & Knobs

Custom Shop Vintage Synchronized Tremolo

Vintage-Style Tuning Machines

1.625" Bone Nut

Disc String Tree

70th Anniversary Strat Neckplate

Deluxe Embroidered Hardshell Case

Special Case Candy Kit

Certificate of Authenticity

https://www.truetonemusic.mom/products/fender-custom-shop-limited-edition-1954-stratocaster-super-heavy-relic-burnt-copper
