The original Jessica was a factory second and one of two Les Paul™ guitars that Gibson sent to Slash in the late 80s. Now Gibson is proud to introduce a new model based on Slash’s old favorite.

Jessica features a three-piece plain maple top on a non-weight-relieved mahogany body and a mahogany neck with a 50s Vintage neck profile. It's incredibly comfortable to play, especially for those that prefer the classic vintage Les Paul feel. We can see why Slash gravitated towards this guitar.

Originally a bright Cherry Sunburst, Slash had Jessica refinished, which is reflected, minus the considerable road wear on the original, in the gloss nitrocellulose Honey Burst with Red Back finish used on the new model. Slash’s signature is reproduced on the truss rod cover, and Schaller Strap Locks are preinstalled on the guitar.

Jessica is powered by a pair of Custom Burstbucker™ pickups with Alnico 2 magnets that are hand-wired to Orange Drop capacitors. If your goal is the lasting resonance, power, and middle tones that Slash gets, these are the pickups to have. While it's the sound of Appetite for Destruction, it actually is great many genres, from rock to jazz. They are well balanced and versatile - it's a great set for any guitar, but especially the Slash model.

Other extras include a Slash pick set, a USA leather strap, a multi-tool, and a blank truss rod cover in the included hardshell case.

Shape: Les Paul
Material: Mahogany
Top: 3-piece Maple

Neck: Mahogany
Profile: 50s Vintage
Nut width: 43.053mm
Fingerboard: Indian Rosewood
Scale length: 628.65 mm
Number of frets: 22
Nut: Graph Tech
Inlay: Acrylic Trapezoid

Bridge: Aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic
Knobs: Gold Top Hat
Tailpiece: Aluminum Stop Bar
Tuners: Vintage Deluxe with Keystone Buttons
Plating: Chrome

Neck pickup: Custom Burstbucker Alnico 2 (Double Black Exposed Coils)
Bridge pickup: Custom Burstbucker Alnico 2 (Double Black Exposed Coils)
Controls: 2 Volume, 2 Tone, Hand-wired with Orange Drop Capacitors

Case: Hardshell Case
SKU: LPSSP300WHCH1
