Used 2019 Squier J5 John 5 Signature Telecaster Black With Case

If you're looking for a great deal on a Squier John 5 Signature Telecaster, which has been nicely upgraded and has a hardshell case to boot, you've found it here.  This is the version of the J5 that's no longer available and has been high in demand.  Dressed in black is a unique, high-octane guitar designed with rock legend John 5, bringing his famous Fender Custom Shop model look down to an affordable price point. Known for its stunning black-and-chrome aesthetic, this solidbody guitar features a sleek gloss black finish and a matching black headstock.

John 5 is a self-described "Fender fanatic" with a jaw-dropping collection of his favorite instrument, the Telecaster ("the greatest guitars ever built, by far," in his words). His Squier signature model, the J5 Telecaster, is based on his oft-modded workhorse Telecaster.  To double down on that, this one in particular has been modified as well.

The guitar has a double-bound alder body with a one-piece maple neck, topped with a matching black headstock.  It's easy to play with a Modern C profile and a 12"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets.  Though originally released as a budget-friendly option, its high build and unique styling has made it quite sought after by players.

This John 5 Tele in particular has several upgrades, with Seymour Duncan pickups, locking tuners, and a black pickguard.  The pickups are are JB in bridge position and a Jazz in the neck position - a classic pairing, providing punch, clarity, warmth, and sustain.  The JB is the perfect bridge pickup for anything from blues & country to the meanest hard rock & metal.  Paired with the Jazz neck model, which rounds it out nicely, and you get the ultimate hot rodded humbucker set.

Also, it's worth noting that the John 5 Tele was wired uniquely for his own specifications, but this one has been rewired (when the pickups were swapped).  You get the traditional functionality of the 3 way toggle switch, to choose between the neck and bridge pickups or combine them both together.

We just took this one in - it's clean, well taken care of, and has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  As mentioned, a hardshell case is included.  This is a serious score!
