Used 2016 Epiphone Limited Edition Tony Iommi SG Custom Ebony with OHSC
We just scored another iconic artist model - this Epiphone Tony Iommi SG Custom. It's a recreation of a classic guitar for the godfather of heavy metal riffage. This one was built in 2016 and is still in great shape.
Tony Iommi worked directly with Epiphone on this limited-edition SG Custom, and it carries the details he's known for, from the pearloid cross inlays to a pair of Gibson USA Tony Iommi Signature humbuckers. It's finished in gloss ebony with nickel hardware.
Those pickups are the same signature humbuckers Gibson developed for Tony, built with a mix of Alnico II and ceramic magnets. They're voiced for thick, heavy rhythm tones that stay defined when you dig in, which is exactly what you want for slow, downtuned riffs. Each pickup has its own volume and tone control, with a three-way toggle.
The 24-fret ebony fingerboard gives you two full octaves on every string, and the deep-set neck joint with a smooth heel transition makes those top frets easy to reach. The mahogany neck has a 1960s SlimTaper D profile, and the 24.75" scale keeps string tension friendly for big bends. A LockTone Tune-O-Matic with stopbar tailpiece, a black graphite nut and a side-mounted output jack round it out, and Tony's signature in silver sits on the back of the headstock.
It's in excellent condition with a bit of normal player wear but nothing all that noticeable, and comes with its original hardshell case. Setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, it's ready to go.
