Originally called the “Broadcaster” during its initial production run in ’50, it was renamed after a request from The Gretsch Company, which offered a drum set named “Broadkaster”. As a cost-saving measure Fender® simply cut the name off the headstock label with scissors, leaving just the famous Fender logo until late ‘51 when they received their new name, Telecaster. The lack of model name led to these guitars being christened “Nocasters” by collectors—very few were produced and their sound and feel are legendary among players who know.

This 2007 Custom Shop version sounds and plays beautifully. The soft V shape neck is nice and chunky feeling without feeling cumbersome. Lots of lie still left in the frets, and the tone of this instrument is excellent. Can't say enough good things about this specimen. We get a lot of Nocasters/Telecasters in here, and this is one of the better playing ones.

It does show signs of player wear in the forms of scratches and dings. Price reflects these condition issues.

Includes complimentary set up and OHSC.

Radius: 7.25"

Weight: 7.2lbs.

Nut Width: 1 5/8"

Price is firm.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0789/2433/products/DSF3091_88ac6204-26ff-453b-861c-5588b431cc0c.jpg?v=1683683411
