Fender hired legendary humbucking pickup designer Seth Lover to create the distinctly Fender-flavored take on a higher output dual-coil pickup. The resulting Wide Range pickup used large bobbins and threaded CuNiFe rod magnets to achieve its unique and brilliant sound. The guitar guitar also features a calibrated Tim-Shaw-designed ‘70s Telecaster single-coil bridge pickup. The two pickups balance against each other very well.

Controls include individual volume and tone for each pickup and an upper-bout 3-way toggle switch. Other touches include original-era body radii, vintage-style hardware - including F logo tuners and bullet truss rod adjust and a lacquer finish that lets the wood breathe naturally with resonant tone.

This guitar is in excellent condition - the previous owner was obviously very careful with it. From what he said, he barely played it before deciding to go with a 50's style Tele. It comes with its original hardshell case. The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop, and is ready to go!

SPECIFICATIONS

General

SERIES: American Original
ORIENTATION: Right-Hand
COLOR: Vintage Blonde
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: US

Neck

NECK MATERIAL: Maple
NECK FINISH: Gloss Nitrocellulose Lacquer
NECK SHAPE: Medium "C"
FINGERBOARD RADIUS: 9.5" (241 mm)
FINGERBOARD MATERIAL: Maple
POSITION INLAYS: Black Dot
NUMBER OF FRETS: 21
TRUSS ROD: Bullet Style
STRING NUT: Bone
NUT WIDTH: 1.650" (42 mm)
NUT MATERIAL: Bone
FRET SIZE: Narrow Tall
SCALE LENGTH: 25.5" (64.77 cm)

Body

BODY: Alder
BODY FINISH: Gloss Lacquer
BODY SHAPE: Telecaster®
BODY MATERIAL: Alder

Hardware

BRIDGE: 3-Saddle Vintage-Style Tele® with Slotted Steel Saddles
PICKGUARD: 3-Ply Black/White/Black
CONTROL KNOBS: Skirted Black Plastic with Numbered Indicators
HARDWARE FINISH: Nickel/Chrome
TUNING MACHINES: Fender® Vintage "F" Stamped
STRINGS: Fender® USA 250R Nickel Plated Steel (.010-.046 Gauges), PN 0730250406
NECK PLATE: 3-Bolt "F" Stamped with Micro-Tilt™
STRAP BUTTONS: Vintage-Style

Electronics

BRIDGE PICKUP: Vintage-Style '70s Single-Coil Tele®
NECK PICKUP: Tim Shaw Authentic CuNiFe® Wide-Range Humbucking
PICKUP CONFIGURATION: SH
CONTROLS: Volume 1.
